What will 2021 Bring Us?

Updated: Jul 29, 2023

Planning and Prepping

It has been… A very loong time since I have made a blog entry. And already it is 2021. I have read so many posts about the trials that 2020 has thrown at us, what with the pandemic and current political climates, I just want to be the first to say that 2020 was nothing I myself, and my family, couldn’t handle.

Also, I must admit that I think that Australia has been lucky through the worst of it, really. But, that is my singular opinion.

I moved into working from home mode back in March 2020, and at the time I had made the assumption that I would be able to get a lot more writing done without the driving to and from work…

That was a laugh!

But, when November finally came around, I did force myself into my writing for the NanoWrimo Challenge again and I have furthered my WIP up by 26,000+ words. Which at the end of the day was the most I’d been able to pen all year.

With work, most of my author duties have been put on the back burner and much of me feels that the wrong priorities have been taking… priority… *Thinks in stupid*

And so, even though I am not one to make a New Year’s Resolution as such, (never been a huge fan of setting myself up to fail tbh) I have decided I would make what I am calling - A New Year Project Plan.

I mean, yeah, the zombie apocalypse and Mad Max are meant to take place this year, but I need to set aside the time and plans for the change over of publishers which has been on hiatus for 12 months now.

I should say, up until NOW.

Book three of the Creatures of Night Chronicles (CONC) is in rigorous editing.

I thought long and hard on the matter of Audio Books for CONC and ended up making a radical decision.

A podcast that will be released will be the readings of CONC in Podcast format, a Monthly installment - this way fans can listen along … FOR FREE!

You might say that’s crazy!?

Well, maybe.

But, I’m still going to do it. Because, that is the kind of crazy that I am.

I am excited to get into this project started and focus on the real priorities for 2021!

I hope that the New Year brings happiness to more than it does sadness, and that this year is one of our greatest.
